Christy Webber always planned to be a P.E. teacher but after just one year, she was reevaluating what to do with her life. She had plenty of experience cutting grass as a kid, and with help from her mom (who financed Webber's first truck), she started up a mowing business in the Chicago area. The modest company that began with two employees and a lawnmower and has now grown into a multi-million dollar corporation employing more than 400 people, with high-profile clients ranging from The United Center, both Midway and O'Hare Airports, to Navy Pier and Millennium Park. Webber is active in various LGBTQ+ and political causes. She and her longtime partner, Jennifer, have two sons.
