Marcia Biggs followed her calling to report on humanitarian crises and injustice in the Middle East. As people told her she was too old and it was too late to start a new chapter of her career, she just went out and did it. Four years later, she received The Marie Colvin Front Page Award for Foreign Correspondence from the Newswomen's Club of New York.

She currently lives in New York City, where she has served as an adjunct professor at the CUNY Newmark School of Journalism.
