Award-winning chef Sherry Yard has had a ''lifetime in food''
Posted: January 25, 2022, 12:16PMSherry Yard began experimenting in the kitchen and the garden as a young girl growing up in Brooklyn. She later spent 20 years working alongside celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and served as Chief Operating Officer, Restaurant Division at iPic Entertainment, a national entertainment group. She officially stepped down from iPic in July 2019.
The recipient of three James Beard Awards, Yard has published Desserts by the Yard: From Brooklyn to Beverly Hills: Recipes from the Sweetest Life Ever and The Secrets of Baking: Simple Techniques for Sophisticated Desserts. She has also served as a judge on several television cooking shows and competed in the Food Network show, Cutthroat Kitchen: Superstar Sabotage.
In May 2021, Sherry opened her bakery, Bakery by the Yard, in El Segundo, CA. In early 2022, Sherry will open Pantry by the Yard in Manhattan Beach, CA.
