When you consistently watch a television series, characters become more than just fictional individuals on your small screen. They become family and friends who you've grown to care about. Sometimes, it's because you resonate with the character's background or personality; other times, it's because the actor/actress played the role so well that you never want to let it go.

Many viewers can say that about Annie Potts and her character M.E. (Mary Elizabeth) on Any Day Now. The show tackled racism, discrimination, and other social issues that weren't usually highlighted on television in the late Nineties. We know the portrayal of the character and the show garnered Potts a few award nominations, but since then, the actress has added more credits to her resume.

Have you ever asked, "Where is Annie Potts?" or "I wonder what Annie Potts has been up to?" We're here to shine a light on some of her recent work.

Does the film Ghostbusters ring a bell? Of course, it does. Did you know that Potts faithfully plays Janine Melnitz in many, if not all, of the franchise's movies? This year, she'll be reviving her role in the latest film, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire! The actress is also a main cast member in the series Young Sheldon, playing Meemaw, aka Constance "Connie" Tucker.

Other credits include roles in Scandal and Toy Story 4. Like the talented actress she is, Potts also snagged multiple voiceover roles in video games, including Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered and Disney Speedstorm.

On her Instagram (@theanniepotts), Potts shares updates on her life, projects, and more. So, if you miss seeing her, you can catch her on Any Day Now right here on Start TV and visit her social media.
