As Lead strategist for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Stanford Graduate School of Business and cofounder of the Stanford VMware Women’s Leadership Innovation Lab, Lori Nishiura Mackenzie is an advocate for creating organizations that help women advance. The pandemic has magnified the importance of her work.

"Before the pandemic, dealing with work and family conflict was... each person's responsibility," Nishiura Mackenzie says. "If organizations don't proactively find ways to help women manage that... we're going to see regretful actions in our future. We'll see a great sliding back of the advance that we've had for women."
