Posted: December 5, 2018, 2:50PMJanine di Giovanni is a foreign correspondent best known for covering major violent global conflicts, including disputes in Palestine, Syria and Kosovo. She is also an active writer on global social crises. As a storyteller, she relates human stories to provide a larger context for the conflicts that she covers. This year, Janine di Giovanni was appointed as the Edward R. Murrow Press Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. She told Start TV how she balances her family life with her global goals, offering this advice for those who follow in her footsteps, "Taking care of yourself is building up a life. A happy life.”
