Chef Iliana Regan's non-traditional path led to traditional accolades in the food industry
Posted: June 24, 2019, 1:43PMHaving started as a dish washer Iliana Regan is a self-taught chef who opened Elizabeth Restaurant in Chicago in 2012 and was awarded a Michelin Star in 2014. She is a James Beard Best Chef nominee and winner of Food and Wine Best New Chef in 2016. She has gone on to open Kitsune Restaurant, Bunny Bakery and Milkweed Inn.
In September 2019, Regan's memoir Burn the Place was awarded a spot on the 2019 National Book Award Longlist for nonfiction.
