Imagine being able to see and communicate with ghosts, both good and hostile. It sounds like the scariest role an actress could have, right? Well, despite the supposedly haunted set and chilling plots, Jennifer Love Hewitt found playing Julie James in I Know What You Did Last Summer more terrifying than her role as Melinda Gordon in Ghost Whisperer.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hewitt revealed that a third film in the series is "cooking."

Reflecting on the first movie, Hewitt shared, "I was terrified. I was constantly questioning if I was messing up the entire movie. I couldn't sleep during the filming because I would be up until the middle of the night with somebody chasing me, and then they'd say, 'OK, it's a wrap. Go home.' How does one sleep during this process?"

Hewitt was young when she auditioned for the role in the first movie and revived it again in the sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

"But the second one was just fun. It was fun," Hewitt continued. "I got to make her tougher. She'd been through so much already and she wasn't quite as vulnerable as she was in the first one. It was just silly, and fun, and we got to go to Mexico, and Jack Black was in it. It was just the best."

Interestingly, Jennifer initially auditioned for the role of Sarah. However, she felt that the character didn't resonate with her. Showing her determination and belief in her abilities, she approached the producers and expressed her desire to audition for the starring role.

The rest is history.
