There are a few ways to describe the character Jessica Fletcher of Murder, She Wrote. She's intellectual, charming and persistent. And now she's bringing those traits to Start TV, starting with an Independence Day weekend marathon on July 2 at 12P | 11C through July 5 at 8A | 7C.

Don't miss out on a combination of must-see episodes and Murder, She Wrote television movies. The newest addition's marathon will kick off with the made-for-TV film Murder, She Wrote: South by Southwest (1997) and continue with some of the best crime-mystery episodes from seasons one, two and three.

One of the most successful and longest running series in television history, Murder, She Wrote follows mystery writer and amateur sleuth Jessica Fletcher, portrayed by the iconic Angela Lansbury, who becomes involved in solving murders that take place in the fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine. The series was a ratings hit during its original broadcast and was a staple of the CBS Sunday night schedule, spanning 12 seasons and 264 episodes. For her starring role, Lansbury was nominated for ten Golden Globes, winning four, along with nominations for 12 Emmy Awards. The series itself earned three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Drama Series, and six Golden Globe nominations in the same category, with two major wins.

Set your reminders for this marathon so you can catch fan-favorite episodes like the season two premiere "Widow, Weep for Me," "Joshua Peabody Died Here...Possibly," "Murder in the Afternoon," the season one premiere "Deadly Lady," and more that'll have you glued to your screens for the holiday weekend.

After the marathon, there's more murder and mystery to be found as Murder, She Wrote joins the Start TV lineup seven days a week! You can join Jessica Fletcher in the mornings starting at 9A | 8C.
