"If you've really moved on, why are you concerned with making your ex jealous?"

The Closer fans fully know the complicated "relationship" Will Pope and Brenda Leigh Johnson have on the show. Some viewers wanted their relationship to be a fairytale, with marriage and children somewhere in the mix. Others wanted Will Pope and his nonchalant ways to stay far away from their favorite character after their "fling" ended.

However, no matter which side you're on, J.K. Simmons, the actor who played Will Pope, felt that Brenda should at least be jealous of his character's possibly new fling.

"There's been no extracurricular romantic stuff for Pope yet," he told TV Guide in an interview. "But I would be shocked if Brenda wasn't jealous despite the fact that she has no intention of being involved with him again."

Simmons' comments came in response to a question about the possibility of Pope and Brenda getting back together. He responded, "You don't want to say never, but it looks like so far this year (2007), Brenda and Fritz [Jon Tenney] seem headed toward something resembling domestic bliss."

So why does he expect her to be a little bit jealous? We get it—they were once "a thing," so maybe their feelings never completely faded away, but Brenda deserved to be fully happy in her new situation and not focused on whatever Pope had going on romantically with anyone else.
