Margot McMahon's sculptures speak to social change
Posted: December 12, 2021, 4:07PMMargot McMahon began sculpting at a young age, using natural materials she found in the woods around her childhood home in the Chicago suburbs. She earned an MFA from Yale University then taught sculpture and drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Public sculpture commissions and museum and gallery exhibitions have been the core of McMahon's work as an artist. Her sculptures and drawings are also included in private collections in Chicago, New York, Florida, London, Paris, and Tokyo.
