Jeni Britton Bauer literally walked out of art class to make ice cream, then it became her career

Jeni opened her first ice cream shop, Scream, in 1996. In 2002 she founded Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. Bauer has approximately 50 "Scoop Shop" locations around the country. Her first cookbook, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams at Home, won a James Beard Award in 2012.
