Juanita Dutton is a single mom and was working part time cleaning houses and going to school to get her bachelor's degree in computer science. Soon after Covid hit, she was laid off her job and with no childcare, was forced to put her degree on hold to take care of her two girls. She relies on unemployment and food banks but was able to find a few hours of work a week at a nonprofit agency, helping families with rental assistance.
