Angie Harmon on Jane Rizzoli's outfits: ''I'm much more into Maura's wardrobe.''

  NBC/Universal

Jane Rizzoli wasn't a fashionista. She didn't have a closet full of the latest designer items with matching heels and expensive bags. We're not saying her style was horrible, but when it came to which character on Rizzoli & Isles was best-dressed, many said Maura Isles deserved that honor. Rizzoli was what the Houston Chronicle described as "the tougher tomboy-ish half" of her and Maura's duo.

We agree with that statement because one thing the character loved was a good suit. Without a doubt, Sasha Alexander's character, Maura, cared more about her appearance, stepping out in dresses that wowed the characters in the Rizzoli & Isles universe and even Angie Harmon.

If you ever wondered if Harmon liked the way Jane dressed, she actually preferred Maura's wardrobe. "I'm much more into Maura's wardrobe," she said during a 2010 interview with the Houston Chronicle. "I became hysterical when she showed up in Balenciaga and Jane was in the same suit for four days."

Though Jane wasn't into putting together the best looks, Harmon knew fashion because she used to be a model. In 1987, she won a Seventeen modeling contest, and three years later, in 1990, she won a Spectrum Model Search contest. This skyrocketed her name in the industry, and she worked as a runway model for companies such as Calvin Klein and Giorgio Armani.
