In Her Words: Virginia Dressler
Posted: March 9, 2021, 7:00AMVirginia "Ginnie" Dressler, a Digital Projects Librarian at Kent State University, found herself struggling to balance work and home life when she lost full time childcare for her young twins. She worked at night, putting in some long hours in the early stages of the pandemic, then had to face the challenge of her husband being furloughed. He returned to work in June of 2020, and they found a new daycare center for their children shortly thereafter, allowing the entire family to return to some normalcy. She credits a virtual kickboxing class offered by the gym at Kent State with making a huge difference in helping her manage stress over the past year.
Dressler shares one of the positives of the pandemic.
