Christine Cikowski reflects on her journey from culinary school to opening Honey Butter Fried Chicken

At 16 she began working in restaurants but it wasn’t until she was 27 that she enrolled in culinary school. While in school she met her soon to be business partner Josh Kulp. After graduating she began working at Blackbird restaurant in Chicago while making plans with Kulp to open Sunday Dinner Club in Chicago in 2005.In 2013 the two opened Honey Butter Fried Chicken, for which they earned a 2015 StarChefs Rising Star Community Chefs Award.
